Escape the Holiday Stress with a Girls Trip

This post is sponsored by CheapOair.

Holidays can be really stressful especially for those of us with an empty nest. The time from mid-November to just after the new year means one of two things for me.  Either I’m spending this time running from house to house and state to state to visit my children or I’m making preparations for them all to come to our house and stay with their families.

I’m not the only one running around doing all this, many of my friends are in the same boat with grown children who want to be home for the holidays.  It seems that when they come home, they revert back to being children and create even more work for you.  So after the Thanksgiving Holiday and all that cooking, there is a little pocket of time before we have to do it all over again.  Why not take this time to treat yourself to a girl’s weekend?

With offseason, holiday rates and great deals on CheapOair, you and your friends can head to the Carolina’s for a beach weekend for almost nothing.  If you plan your trip for the middle of the week, it’s even cheaper.  In addition to the requested dates you enter, the search results on CheapOair include money saving options for alternative travel dates so you can find the cheapest price on the day that works best for you. I just found a flight from Cincinnati to Myrtle Beach on a Wednesday for less than $200. Combine that with hotel rates for as low as $50 a night and you’ve got a nice inexpensive, relaxing few days with your friends.  I love going to the beach in the winter, no tourists, beautiful views, and if the weather is nice enough you can even take a dip in the ocean.

Want to blow off some steam and kick up your heels, how about Vegas.  Las Vegas aways has great inexpensive hotel rates, if you look around, you can often find rooms for less then $20 a night and I just found a flight to Vegas from Cincinnati on a weekend in December for less than $100. I just found an entire vacation package on CheapOAir.com to Las Vegas including hotel and flight for the first weekend in December for less than $200 and the hotel is Circus Circus not some hole in the wall dive.

With CheapOAir, you can find great prices on flights for your getaway weekend or for your family who are coming for the holidays. Unlike their major competitors, CheapOair is dedicated to air travel.  They are “flight focused” whereas others are focused on hotel reservations. Their team spends their time finding new and better ways to serve customers the highest quantity and quality of unique flight itineraries.

Want even more deals on flights, sign up and you will get special Secret Deals sent to you by email. They also offer phone only deals, these are fares that are so low the airlines won’t let them advertise the price.  Call 1-888-592-6407 and one of the wonderful travel specialists will help you find the best deal for your trip.

Go ahead be cheap save on flights and spend the money on what counts, the fun.

Where will you go?

  1. Chicago In addition to having deep-dish pizza slices bigger than your face, I would cruise on a riverboat architectural tour, take a “Bean” selfie at Millenium Park and catchi an improv comedy show at Second City.

  2. New York City. Maybe stay in Manhattan and check iconic sights like Central Park off the Bucket List. Or stay in Brooklyn and check out the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Nosh on fresh-made bagels

  3. Nashville. For the roaring bars on Broadway. Rock, country, karaoke, dueling pianos. Visit Jack White’s Third Man Records

  4. If I could go any where I would definitely go to India, maybe Hawaii because it was always my moms dream.

  5. I wish I could take a trip and I know you want to be able to go some where to escape the holiday hustle, I would be in India.

  6. I would love to take my kids back to my native California to meet all of their relatives there and show them my home state. All of the amazing things there that I miss so much! I’d also love to be able to take my youngest to Disneyland since she’s never been there yet! =)
