I Just Read Yellow Crocus by Laila Ibrahim

This book is a must read it will give you a deeper more meaningful understanding of slavery beyond that of what you’re taught from a history book. It is one of the only books I have found that tells the story from the perspective of the women both slave and “free”. It’s a very powerful book and I am glad that after my mom finished it she recommended it to me.
