Guest Posting Agreement

Please read this agreement in its entirety.

By submitting a guest post you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Guest Posting Agreement.

This agreement is between Eclectic Evelyn (“website” or “Site Owner”) and the name entered below (“Guest Blogger” or “Contractor”). This agreement is effective at the time of submission.

Guest Blogger is an independent agent who is in business for him/herself. This Agreement shall not create the relationship of employer and employee, a partnership, or a joint venture. Guest Blogger shall have no authority to bind, obligate, or commit Site Owner by any promise or representation. No monetary relationship is being created nor construed through this Agreement.

By providing a guest post to Site Owner, Guest Blogger agrees they are not becoming part of the site and cannot represent themselves as a member/owner of the site.

Guest Bloggers grants to Site Owner the perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free, transferable right to use Guest Blogger’s name, biography, and likeness in connection with the publication

Guest Bloggers grants to Site Owner the perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free, transferable right to all materials submitted as part of this agreement including but not limited to words, images, and videos.

Therefore, Site Owner and Guest Blogger jointly agree to the following criteria:

Guest Posts must be original work that has not been published on any other website, forum, chat or social media network. Site Owner reserves the right to reject any Original Blog Entry for any reason upon receipt of said content, and if necessary make edits to the piece where necessary to ensure the blog stays congruous with the site and to be compatible with Sites SEO practices.

Plagiarism or copyright infringement is not tolerated. The Guest Post writer must be the copyright holder of the post and any image/video submitted OR the image/video must be licensed under an appropriate creative commons license or in the public domain. Proof must be submitted along with any image/video showing that it does not infringe on copyright laws. Site Owner reserves the right to change/edit the image/video or post if necessary. When quoting others, Guest Blogger must properly and accurately cite sources.

Guest Blogger is solely responsible for ensuring that submission of content does not conflict with any copyright or publication rights already granted to other publishers and that Eclectic Evelyn is not responsible for any infringement of external publication rights.

Submissions must be in English and consist of at least 600 words with an eye-catching title of no more than 10 words. Source links should be completely listed as endnotes and not linked within the document. Featured Image is optional and may or may not be used at the Site Owners discretion.

No selling, product promotion, or affiliate links allowed unless discussed with Site Owner prior to submitting. All links are subject to the approval of Site Owner. Site Owner reserves the right to add its own affiliate links where appropriate. Guest Blogger may be permitted to have 1 link or more in the body of the post at the Site Owner’s discretion. Please note: affiliate links, links that you have received payments to promote, or links that direct readers to an affiliate site will not be permitted.

Posts will acknowledge Guest Blogger authorship but will become the property of Site Owner. Once the post has been submitted to Eclectic Evelyn you may not publish it anywhere, whether online or in a paper version, in part or in whole, including your own website or blog for at least 1 year.

Guest Blogger will receive writing credit as the author of the post. Guest Blogger may submit a short bio statement that may be used at the end of the article. A photo may be submitted for bio use that may or may not be used. Guest Blogger can have up to 3 links within their author bio at the end of the guest post. Links may include your personal website/blog, your author page, or your social media accounts. Affiliate links, links that you have received payments to promote, or links that direct readers to an affiliate site will not be permitted. Eclectic Evelyn Reserves the right to remove the author’s links at our sole discretion.

If we use your guest post, Guest Blogger agrees to promote the post on your own website, Facebook, Twitter or other social media forums. Promoting the content does not give you permission to post the entire article on these forums. You may include a link to your guest post and a short sentence or two explaining what the article is about and directing your readers to it.

Site Owner reserve the right to refuse publication, remove blog content and change these guidelines as we see fit with or without notice to Guest Blogger

Guest Bloggers acknowledge they shall not be entitled to any compensation for writing the post or for any other compensation related to the post.

By submitting your guest post you agree to the following

I certify content submitted for publication is not currently or will not be published anywhere else. Further, I certify that all content submitted is original content with appropriate citations and I have not received payment from any third-party to submit this post or to include a link in the submitted post.
I grant to Eclectic Evelyn the perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free, transferable right to use Guest Blogger’s name, biography, and likeness in connection with the publication of the Work under this Agreement
I understand that I will not be compensated in any way and that nothing herein shall be deemed to constitute a partnership or joint venture between Eclectic Evelyn and myself. I understand that I am an independent contractor and nothing herein contained shall contemplate or constitute an agent or employee relationship and neither myself nor Eclectic Evelyn shall have any authority to bind the other in any way.
I have read, understand, and agree with the Guest Blogger Agreement above as well as all the policies of the Eclectic Evelyn website.
If my post is published by Eclectic Evelyn, I understand that I am required to promote the post through social media and that I am required to visit the post often during the first 28 days to respond to comments that may be posted.
I grant to Site Owner the perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free, transferable right to all materials submitted as part of this agreement.
GDPR – I agree with the storage and handling of my data by the Eclectic Evelyn website. I have read the Website Policies.

By submitting your guest post via email to Eclectic Evelyn, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Guest Posting Agreement.
