A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal 2017 EclecticEvelyn.com

My #AtoZChallenge Theme is…..drum roll…..

I have decided to try my hand at the A to Z Challenge this year.  If you are unfamiliar with the challenge then please visit their page to learn more and to get involved.

Today is the traditional theme reveal day, in which each blogger that is participating reveals what their theme for the month will be.

I am new to this challenge so, I am a little intimidated about writing a post for every letter of the alphabet during the month of April. Even the thought of a theme threw me for a minute. What could I come up with that would give me something to write about using all the alphabet?

April is also National Poetry Month, so I had planned to write some poems during the month. I thought,  (brilliant idea!!)I could write a poem for every letter in the alphabet.

Then, I thought again. How could I possibly come up with enough original poems for all the letters of the alphabet? I could probably throw some crap out there but to come up with good poetry is not as easy as some think.  There are days it flows and days it doesn’t. So being me (the neurotic perfectionist), I started to over think the entire idea of a theme.

So… long story short, my theme is Poetry, Poets, and Poems. Narrow but not too narrow and still encompasses National Poetry Month.

Welcome to the A to Z Challenge! I think you’ll find it to be fun and inspiring–and far less daunting than it might seem. You’ve chosen theme that will provide a lot of potential.

Have fun in April!

Welcome to the challenge! This is my 6th year / 12th challenge (I’ve done multiple blogs in the past but I’ve come to my senses!) It lives up to its name, being a challenge but it’s pretty fun, too.
Can’t wait to read some poetry!

Sounds like a good theme, and I like the Three Stooges GIF.

Sounds like a good theme, and I like the Three Stooges GIF. That’s one of my favorite Stooges shorts…

Tried leaving this earlier and it threw an exception. Let’s see if it works now…

I can’t wait! I love poetry. (The darker, the better. What does that say about me?) If I were to do an A-Z challenge, I’d make my theme Liquor or maybe sexual positions. Okay, probably not sex positions. But you gotta admit, the results would be entertaining. Haha! Thanks for… Read more »

[…] what Nikki Giovanni has to do with the letter I. She is a poet so she fits into my overall theme but that still doesn’t explain why she is the poet I choose to represent the letter […]
