Many blogs feature back to school gift guides but what makes my gift guide unique is that it is intended for people who are looking at furnishing entire dorm rooms for their children who are leaving for college and are also interested in revamping their own homes for the empty nest.

How the Gift Guide Works

Back to School Gift Guide runs from July 15 through September 15th of each year. There are NO payments or fees involved with participating in our gift guide. We ask sponsors to perform an exchange with us instead. The sponsor mails us product(s) and in return, we promote the sponsor on our blog and social media channels. Instead of a payment, keep the products that we receive as a form of compensation.

For the 2018 Back to School Gift Guide, we have 4 levels of product promotion you can choose from based on the retail value of the products you send to us for review.

Package 1 – Giveaway Only

$10 or over retail value of products sent to us for review

Inclusion of your product in the gift guide
2-week giveaway with product or gift card valued at $15 or more

Package 2 – Review Package

under $75 retail value of products sent to us for review

Inclusion of your product in the gift guide
Product review with a link to product or website
Option to sponsor a 2-week giveaway with product or gift card valued at $25 or more

Package 3 – Social Media Review

$75 to 150 retail value of products sent for review

Inclusion in the gift guide
Product featured in Instagram photo with brief review and link
The Instagram post also shared on Twitter and Tumblr for more exposure
Product review on the blog with a link to product or website.
Product review post shared on Twitter and Facebook
Option to sponsor a 2-week or 4-week giveaway with product or gift card valued at $25 or more

Package 4 – Review with Video Option

over $150 retail value of products sent for review

Product featured in Instagram photo with brief review and link
The Instagram post also shared on Twitter and Tumblr for more exposure

Option of unboxing or review video
Option to sponsor a 2 week or 4-week giveaway with product or gift card valued at $25 or higher

All packages include the possibility of being featured in round-up posts during the months of July, August and September. These posts include topics such as 10 Dorm Room Essential, 10 Must-haves for the Empty Nester, 5 Backpack Essentials for College, etc.

All giveaways include a link to the product or website and your social media accounts. Winners are chosen by the giveaway software. We provide you with the name and contact information for the winner of the giveaway within 7 days of the giveaway closing. Sponsors are responsible for sending the winner the prize.
