Quan Yin Goddess

Conversation with Quan Yin

Quan Yin is telling me time to show some compassion to myself.  What does that mean? Compassion to myself.

The definition of compassion “a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.” “sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.”

Sympathy and pity for myself? Concern and sorrow for myself? For the misfortune and suffering of myself? The desire to alleviate the suffering in myself? Yes, I would like to alleviate the suffering in myself.

How can I alleviate my suffering through concern and sympathy?
By delving deep within yourself Quan Yin says. You must look within for the answers.

How do I look within? How do I do this without going over the edge? Without opening the gates that hold it all back? The gates I may never be able to shut again.
You don’t need to shut the gates again Quan Yin says. Open the gates and walk inside look at what lies beyond the gate.

You know the answers Quan Yin says. You know that the answers are within. You know you must let go of that which makes you unhappy.

But how do I do that and still provide?
You have not been providing Quan Yin says and yet you are not starving in the street. You must find what you seek and release what you do not.

But what if I can’t release it what if I can’t let go?
Then you will continue to suffer. Suffering comes from not living in the moment not being at peace within yourself. Show compassion to yourself and alleviate your suffering.

Release.
